A couple of weeks ago, I was asked to photograph and cover the event for the lovely Kiki of the Chosen Boutique Wedding Fair in Islington Aseembly Hall in London.
It was such a fun event. There was musical entertainment, lots of cakes (mmmhh non nom nom ;)) and obviously all these gorgeous vendors exhibiting and offering their amazing wedding and craft services. It was quite an unique event too and I was very happy to be part of it that day. However, instead of me exhibiting myself this time, I actually got to chat with each and every one of these lovely vendors, capturing their gorgeous stands and also photographing the buzz that was going around all over the place. The London Islington Assembly Hall itself is a beautiful old art deco style venue from the 1930’s that was simply gorgeous and lend itself well for the event.
I was also approached by one of the gorgeous dress designers, Olwen Bourke, whether I could do a very short and sweet ad hoc fashion shoot with her models and dresses. She did not have a stand as most other vendors, but actually had her dresses “walking” around – worn by beautiful models. Such a clever idea!!… they mingled, talked to couples and brides-to-be and simply presented these beautiful gowns. And gorgeous they were – both the clothes and the models. I was honoured to photograph her dresses and provide her models with a bit of portfolio work at the same time.
All in all, it was a perfect day spent at this amazing event! Thanks Kiki for organising it all.
Below are a few shots from the day. I delivered over 300 images so this is just a small selection. Please get in touch with Kiki, she will be able to send you the images from your stand.
Lots of love,
